This dry white wine, made exclusively from the Chenin Blanc grape, develops fine aromas of white-fleshed fruits, white flowers, and light honeyed notes on the nose, evolving over time into more complex nuances of dried fruits and soft spices. On the palate, it stands out with a smooth attack followed by a lively and persistent freshness, supported by a mineral backbone typical of the great terroirs of Savennières. Its length and elegance make it a wine of character, both accessible when young and promising with age. This organic Savennières cuvée is the result of the vinification of grapes from a plot that bears the same name. Its color is pale yellow with bright reflections. Savennières – Le Parc, volcanic depth and timeless elegance Le Parc is a rare cuvée, sourced from a plot under organic farming located in the former park of Château de Chamboureau, considered one of the historic clos of the Savennières appellation. This vineyard rests on a unique terroir of hard rhyolite, a volcanic rock formed in the primary era, covered by a loamy-sandy soil. This composition provides the soil with excellent drainage and low vigor, ideal conditions for producing grapes of remarkable concentration and finesse. The resulting wine is a great white wine for aging, with a mineral, straight, and refined profile. With remarkable precision, Le Parc reveals subtle aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus, and a beautiful saline tension in the finish. It embodies all the nobility of great dry Chenins, with exceptional aging potential. Recognized by international critics, Le Parc received a score of 94/100 from James Suckling, and its 2018 vintage was awarded a score of 97/100 by Decanter along with a Platinum medal, thus securing its place among the greatest white wines of the Loire.
